Bio[]
Mirrlees was built in 1963 at the Vulcan Foundry. Three years later, he was pulling an express train to London when he was delayed at Galen Junction due to the connecting train from the Dark Railway being delayed because of a damaged viaduct. He became impatient as he had an appointment for an oil bath and a pamper, and five minutes later, he decided to leave the station. 257 Squadron attempted to catch him, but was too late.
Mirrlees was later chosen to be extensively modified by his builders, including a new Mirrlees power unit.

Mirrlees is a flamboyant engine, and enjoys being treated well.
Livery[]
Mirrlees is currently painted in British Railways blue livery with full yellow warning panels.
Basis[]
Mirrlees is based on a British Railways Class 37 Co-Co. This class was nicknamed "Growlers". The real No. 37901 Mirrlees Pioneer is currently owned by Colas Rail, having previously been preserved before being sold on.
